Miracle in an Israeli court - Jewish settler found guilty

An Israeli settler has been found guilty of killing four Palestinians in the West Bank last year as Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip. A court in Jerusalem convicted Asher Weisgan of murder, attempted murder and serious attempt to harm, the prosecution said.

Convictions for settlers crimes in the West Bank are rare, according to a recent report by Israeli human rights group, Yesh Din, which concluded that 90% of Israeli investigations into settler violence against Palestinians end in failure because files were lost or closed due to "lack of evidence."
